How do you move your writing from first draft to something you can prepare for publication?

In this workshop, participants will work with the facilitators to experience editing a first draft that, by the end, is ready for someone else to edit (such as a writer in residence or a writing instructor). We will explore such things as self-evaluating a first draft, finding your critical eye, questions to ask yourself, basic tools of editing for different genres, finding a first reader, and responding to the first drafts of others.
