How to Read Your Writing Aloud

Presented by Adele Spilchen and Tressa Dent.

Join us for an introductory workshop covering basic skills and tips for reading your work in public.  We will discuss techniques and practice reading aloud, as well as give you pointers for preparing your work beforehand, introducing yourself, and performing with confidence.

There will be a one hour workshop with one hour of readings afterward. There will be no pre-registration for readers for this special Open Mic. Please bring a piece to read (optional), 8 minutes maximum. However, not everyone will have the opportunity to read. Readers will be selected by random draw and limited according to time.

*(Non-members can sign up at the door for their $15/year membership.)
